United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities

The U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee held a hearing on July 12, 2012 to consider ratification of  the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

Currently 153 countries have signed the Convention and 117 have retified it.  The United States signed on in 2009, but Senate approval is needed to make it official.
